Weekend on the Swiss snow, in the fantastic location of the Forno Valley, among 3000 m peaks, beautiful lakes and valleys rich in history, welcomed by the Capanna del Forno, located in a super panoramic position on the glacier and the head of the valley, with its wonderful peaks. During the 2 days there will be several training sessions on risk awareness in a snowy environment and demonstration of the use of emergency equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe). The itineraries are subject to verification of the stability conditions of the snow cover. Duration: 2 days Packed lunches, dinners in the refuge The fee includes: accompaniment with a UIMLA International Mountain Leader Professional Guide, planning and management of the excursion, half board in a refuge, training on the correct progression with the use of snowshoes and poles, notes on the flora, fauna and geology of the surrounding environment, demonstration of use of avalanche transceiver-shovel-probe, customer accident insurance, insurance in case of recovery, satellite messaging in case of emergency. The fee does not include: packed lunch (the guide's lunch on the 2nd day must be divided among the participants), expenses for any shared transport, equipment rental, anything not included in the "the fee includes" item. Mandatory material: Waterproof boots or walking boots, no sneakers; Ski trousers or waterproof trouser covers; Ski gloves; Hiking backpack with a minimum capacity of 20lt with wide shoulder straps, ergonomic backrest and waist belt for weight distribution; Clothing in relation to the season and the weather, in any case it is always advisable to dress in layers; Change of shirt, socks, underwear; Rain jacket; Down filled comforter; Hat and gloves (+ 1 pair of spare gloves); Snowshoes (available for rental); Sticks with washer; Avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe (available for rental); Headlamp; Sheet bag for overnight stay in the refuge (it is possible to purchase the disposable one in the refuge); Personal hygiene kit; Mandatory minimum water reserve of one and a half liters, mineral salts and/or supplements recommended; Thermos for hot drinks; Food to your taste and liking. Day 1
Arrival by car in Orden and ascent to the Capanna del Forno, traveling along the valley of the same name, surrounded by fantastic peaks of over 3000 m. Before arriving at the refuge, artva camp, with simulation of search and excavation of someone caught in an avalanche. Arrival at the refuge in the afternoon and relax. Dinner and overnight stay in the refuge. Difficulty: WT2-WT3 Difference in altitude: approximately 700 D+
Day 2
Departure from the refuge after breakfast and climb to the Monte del Forno lake, with an itinerary at high altitude immersed in fairy-tale scenery, which continues under the Pizzi dei Rossi, up to the lake of the same name.
