A walk along the shores of Lake Lugano skirting the peninsula on which the typical Ticino village of Caslano is located, dominated by a hill that reaches a height of 500 metres. The natural landscape is very interesting because it offers, in a limited space, a remarkable quantity of botanical varieties representative of the entire Ticino territory. It is precisely for this reason that the site is protected by the Confederation. From a geological point of view, this strip of land between Lugano and Ponte Tresa is also interesting, as it presents different types of ancient rocks belonging to different eras.
